The Meaning of Christmas

More than 2000 years have come and gone

and there remains only one Man who is loved

and rememvered every year by billions of followers

as the most significant person in their lives. 

The One who has contributed most to their happiness,

And the only One who deserves the right

To Control their hearts and lives.

He was born so that we could be re-born.

His Mission was to die so His followers could live forever.

He rose from the grave because death could not hold Him,

and He is the Master of the extreme make-over.

Of willing hearts a dn minds.

Every year His birth is celebrated,

Yet the date of his birth has never been recorded.

He wa King of Kings and Lord of Lords

even before His brith, yet He lived as a servant

 To teach us that service is the highest calling in life.

He is the author of hope, hoy peace,

Yet His followers are promissed persecution

For their faithfulness to His teachings.

Th His enemies He is a lion; to his followers He is The "Lamb"

He knows every secret in our lives and loves us anyway.

He hates sin because of its awful reqercussions,

But He loves and pursues The Sinner

Because He is not willing that any should perish

But tha all should have eternal live -

Even thoug He knew He would be murdered

By men He came to save!

Yes, this is the story of Jesus, Our Savior.

And as a special star was sent

To guide the wise men to find the baby Messiah,

May Jesus continue to be the Star of Our Lives

Who guides us to our heavenly home.
